We are being called the Magnificent Seven!

I am in the papers! Well not just me the 7 of us from the local area that got selected to represent Bedfordshire in the World Scout Jamboree to Poland in 2027.

The Leighton-Buzzard Observer has picked up on the story and wrote:

Local Scouting is excited to share the wonderful news that seven young people and an adult leader have been chosen from the district to form a sizeable part of Bedfordshire Scoutings contingent to the 2027 World Jamboree in Poland

The selection process

They share how we 36 of us were selected from over 100 scouts to represent Bedfordshire at the 2027 World Scout Jamboree in Gdansk Poland.

Amazingly seven of us are from Leighton Linslade area seemingly that is means Leighton Buzzard makes up 20% of the Bedfordshire contingent. And actually 3 of us come from my own 1st Linslade Scout group – wonder what that makes us the “Terrific Three”?!

Bedfordshire Contingent was initially called Unit 13 but we have chosen a name for ourselves…It can only be “ Black Cats” when your unit is 13. We have a logo but I will have to wait to share this with you as it is in draft and approval but it looks super cool. I think you will like it.

I will be sharing more of the Jamboree Journey as it happens but that is it for now. Please do keep checking back for more news and shares.
